I first heard this on BBC Radio 4 during the anniversary celebration on the sinking of the Titanic and the thing that amazed me was the use of voice synthesisers to convert the morse code of that night into “ships voices” it is spooky and touching and I feel very compelling especially when you think you are not only listening to the death of a ship but also the end for many peoples.

Very haunting indeed. The “dots and dashes” are my second language. As a matter of pride and tradition, I still hold my shipboard radiotelegraph operator license, even though it is no longer necessary.
